MEGAFORCE MONDAY, what could it be?

Power Force people were alerted about 'something Mega' coming Monday last night. Elie Dekel tweeted about it being called Megaforce Monday. My fellow Power Force people theorized it would involve costumed rangers and I deduced it would be at the New York Toy Fair. Now the Power Rangers facebook posted this, confirming it would be in New York:
Are you ready for something MEGA??

Stay tuned for an exciting announcement in the coming days about the Power Rangers in New York City!
Actors auditioned to be costumed Rangers and are hush hush about it but tweeted these. So my Power Force friends deduced it would involve like a flash mob of some kind.
My personal theory is that it would be a movie announcement but that has no confirmation at all and no backing at all. As Power Force members, we are clueless we have no idea what it is. We were just told to hype it up. All this costume ranger and toy fair stuff came from our own sleuthing.

Monkey Quest: Power Rangers Megaforce

Last year they had Power Rangers Samurai in Monkey Quest, an online gaming site from Nickelodeon. I've played the game itself before and it is pretty cool. My nephew likes playing monkey quest. I haven't had a chance to play with the Megaforce armor yet. But if haven't either, you should check it out! Just click on the link below. I will do a review later on.

Power Rangers Megaforce - He blasted me with Science - Episode Review

Pictures of course thanks to Fury Diamond of Megaforcecast.com

Summary:
The teens take a pop quiz, Mr. Burley plays with a rubix cube. Troy remembers jogging in a cute red hoodie and bumping into Creepox and not engaging in battle. He talks about humans being strong. Mr. Burley has dozed off. Gia finishes her test, puts it on his desk and leaves. School bell rings and all the kids turn int heir tests. Mr. Burley awakes and falls, Noah heps. Gia opens her locker and looks at her morpher. Jake comes by her and freaks her out. He wants to hang with her. Meanwhile, Vrax tells Malkor he wants to study the Rangers. Creepox talks about Troy. Malkor sends Yufo to capture humans.

Back at Burley's office, Noah returns him his scarf. Noah notices Cryptozoology, U.F.O.s and other mysteries on his wall, both having an interest in both. Jake takes Gia's backpack and he tells her that he wants to get to know her better.

She is about to give him the "it's not you, it's me" conversation when she spots U.F.O.'s and hugs Jake. Jake is over the moon. Gia alerts him of what she sees and grabs her morpher to alert the others. Jake tells him to stop and they can do it on their own. The UFOs kidnap people and the UFOs become one monster. The two morph. We hear a different version of the Megaforce song while they fight Loogies and Yufo.

Gia calls Troy and Emma. Troy arrives first. Jake wonders where Noah is. Yufo blasts them down. Emma blasts him and helps the others. They figure out his plot. More Loogies are called. Yufo puts the four down. Blue arrives. Black and Blue exchange some dialogue. Gia tells them 'sorry to spoil the bromance.' I am almost fell on the floor when I heard this.

They do a roll call and fight and destroy Yufo. The people are freed. Vrax sends him Zombats to make Yufo grow, he explained to Creepox that he is royalty. The teens freak out but Gosei explains that they can call upon their zords.

They receive new cards, call them "Gosei Dragon" etc. and transform them into "Gosei Mechazord" for example. The zords blast Yufo down, the Rangers enter them. Malkor wants to learn what helps the Rangers do all this. Yufo releases UFOs to fight them. Jake tries impressing Gia.

The last UFO becomes Yufo. Gosei tells them to make the Gosei Great Megazord and they clash with the monster. They release the zord heads to punch and kick. They then do the Victory Charge attack to destory the monster. Malkor is really angry. Gosei congrats the teens through their morpher as they are sitting on a bench in their city. We get a quick glimpse of Tensou. They talk about working as a team. Meh.

Review:
Pretty good peppy episode even with cheesy lines which are common in the Ranger world (even RPM, yes I said it). It was interesting to hear another Megaforce theme, it kind of sounds like the one we have without the 'go go power rangers' part so maybe it is the original demo. Grnrngr mentioned on Twitter that Mr. Burley reminds him of Professor P. of PRiS and it is true. I liked the Jake and Gia scenes and the BROMANCE mention which I mentioned last week about Jake and Noah. Hilarious. Anyway, good ep. Emma's bio talk is getting a bit tiresome.

Power Rangers Action Card Game SIte Review

Given that the Power Rangers Megaforce section of Bandai.com is not finished yet, I find it a pleasant surprise that the Action Card Game site is complete, in the sense that almost all the links lead somewhere and it has cool features. The only thing missing is the "My Collection" part of the site but that is forgivable.

Action Card Game
Under Action Card Game, they show the cards from 'Rise of the Heroes." Presumably when they add more series, there will be tabs. For those that don't know, there is Samurai, Megaforce, MMPR and RPM. Included are Megazords, some zords, Rangers and villains (no villains for MMPR). Missing are the White Ranger's zord and RPM Ranger Gold and Silver.

The Toy Cards
"The Toy Cards" shows cards that come with the regular toyline or the Tokyo Vinyls or the Battle Minis Blind Packs. When you click on one, there is an option called "Find which toy this comes with" but it just leads you to the toy section and doesn't tell you which. The list shows all the cards but the toy section doesn't have all the toys. Presumably the cards belong to upcoming toys, probably from the Fall Wave or Series 2 of Minis.

Tutorial
I am horrible at video games and never played card games before. While my best friend for ten years plays role playing games on a regular basis, I do not. The Tutorial is extremely helpful. It does get a bit confusing for me and the card game itself is for kids 6 and up. I see kids of 9 years of age really playing it and kids of 8 and below play it there own way but not following the rules.

Online Game
You can play the game online, which is fun. You can only use one of three decks and they are RPM, Samurai and Megaforce. But you can't use villain cards. My only quarrel is that you can't use MMPR cards nor Villain cards. Up part is that you can use Easy, Medium or Hard and also remove music. It is a great job all in all. There is also the sections of Card Scanner, Deluxe Morpher and My Collection. Card Scanner and Deluxe Morpher just tell you about the products. The "My Collection" section is coming soon.

Ranger Keys in Gosei's Command Center in Power Rangers Megaforce

UPDATED 6/26/14
Thanks to @Razzle1337 and Fury Damond of Ranger Crew Blog for the screen captures. Also to @Razzle1337 for identification of the teams.
Power Rangers producers probably do NOT expect fans to screen cap images and nitpick on details. Like for one, they use the Goseiger cards instead of new American cards. And I am obsessed with the Ranger Keys and they have Ranger Keys in the headquarters. There are 18 teams in the headquarters but it seems that the same teams are each row. I think the key props are newly created props.

They are indeed like the Ranger Keys from Gokaiger but at closer detail, the fat thing in the middle is more like a belt and not like the Keys that have it thicker and with nails. The Time Force ones have colored necks and not white necks. All of them have the triangles like Red on the chests and not their individual shapes. But I do like that Yellow has a skirt (black line) but maybe all the Yellow keys they created has skirts. So I think these are new American key props.

I only spotted MMPR, Zeo (close up thanks to JDF), Lost Galaxy, Lightspeed, Time Force, Mystic Force, Operation Overdrive, and Samurai. LG, LR and TF are in order but Mystic Force is next to Time Force.

Troy is looking at Mystic Force Yellow, which was originally male but has a skirt line on the figure which leads me to believe that all the Yellow Ranger Key props in this base have lines regardless of gender.

Also Samurai is next to Operation Overdrive. There seems to be only teams of Yellow-Blue-Red-Green-Pink and Yellow-Blue-Red-Black-Pink. I see no Crimson, Navy, White or Violet Keys, meaning there is no Ninja Storm, Jungle Fury, Wild Force or Aquitar. Also I did not see Green and Black together which would be RPM.

So what it could be that these are probably placeholders. They probably could only make 8 team sets and hoped no one noticed. Maybe for close ups, they will get the other ones. I think at least they tried. I counted 16 sets in all, so 8 sets twice.

Mystic Force Blue originally is light blue but here we see it is a regular blue like the others.

I recolored Mystic Force Blue to almost the same shade and added skirts to the Yellows.

At first I was disappointed that not all the Ranger teams are represented. But then I thought it through and on a TV standpoint, they really thought it through. If they couldn't do all 17 teams, they decided to make 8 to represent 16. If you think about it, if they did legit they would had to make 17 Red, 14 Blue, 17 Yellow, 11 Pink, 9 Green, 6 Black, 3 Light Blue, 3 White, 1 Navy, 1 Crimson and 1 Violet. They ended up making 40 original keys of only 6 colors and in total 80. They made 8 Red, 8 Blue, 8 Yellow, 8 Pink, 6 Green, and 2 Black and duplicated them.
